About Me
- Catherine Reyes-Housholder
- I love Latin American politics. I spent three weeks in January 2007 researching my undergraduate senior thesis on Michelle Bachelet. Elected in 2006, she is the first woman president of Chile. I returned to Chile in August 2007 and worked as an English teacher in Santiago. In 2008, I was in Salto and then in Montevideo, Uruguay on a Fulbright grant to help in the National Education Administration, assist in a public high school and research the 2004 electoral campaigns in this awesome country. I just finished master´s in political science at the Universidad de Chile and wrote a thesis on informal rules, presidential decision-making and educational crises in Chile and Argentina. I will begin a Ph.D. in government at Cornell University during the fall of 2011. I appreciate and will respond to emails.
